Conception and start of pregnancy
Conception is a crucial time when the doṣa must be in balance in order to achieve a harmonious pregnancy. Once fertilisation takes place, the menstrual cycles stop. Vāta is then thwarted in its discharge from below, it takes an upward movement which disturbs pitta, then kapha on the upper body. What is more, kapha becomes aggravated, excited by the cell division of the fertilised egg which is growing very fast. These two causes, combined with the development of a wet mass and upward movement, create the nauseating effect. This infusion balances prāṇa and apāna in samāna.

Conception and start of pregnancy
Ecology
- Our freshness envelope, despite resembling plastic, is made from cellulose therefore compostable.
- Our teabags and string are also compostable.
- Our tag is made from recyclable PEFC™ paper.
Note: we sell the majority of our infusions only in tea bags and not in bulk. The difference in density of the ingredients would make the heavier ones fall to the bottom of the container. Thus, the mixture would lose its homogeneity and the medicinal proportions would not be preserved.
Ayurvedic Benefits
Based on the principles of Ayurvedic Herbalism or “Dravya Guṇa”, Yoni is a synergy of plants that contributes to the serenity and health of the woman wanting to have children as well as the pregnant lady in her first trimester. This infusion aims to correct the movement of Vāta and the vitiated nature of Pitta dosha in the place of Kapha. Vāta in this period of fertilization tends to “push up” (while its evacuation movement is naturally “down”). As a result, Pitta is carried upward to the upper body which is the natural place of Kapha. Kapha then melts under the heat of Pitta and takes advantage of this upward movement caused by the aggravation of Vāta to disturb the newly pregnant woman as soon as she wakes up.
